    Black tea

Black tea is perhaps the most widely shared tea in the world. Born in China, it is defined by full oxidation, revealing deep notes - sometimes woody, sometimes fruited, always grounded. At Hollin, black tea takes the form of a daily presence: a tea returned to in the morning, accompanying reading, structuring a day without dominating it. The leaves come from gardens chosen for the precision of their craft - careful oxidation, true drying, sufficient rest. The collection brings together black teas from different terroirs: bright fruited notes, mineral depths, floral nuances when a flower settles without breaking the balance. No added aromas; only the reading of a landscape through the leaf. To drink hot, at length, in a rhythm that need not be rushed.

    Why this selection

We approach black tea as a baseline - one that accompanies, structures, and does not tire. Our selection favours unhurried oxidations, whole leaves, and terroirs that remain legible year after year. Black tea is not a tea of effect; it is a tea of fidelity, and that is how we choose it.

    The collection

    Preparation and tasting

Water at 90-95 °C. Three to four grams of leaves per 200 ml. First infusion of one minute, then extended at will. A stoneware or porcelain teapot suits it; stoneware, over time, keeps the memory of a tea and deepens it.
